Thanksgiving 2016

I could name so much to be thankful for but mainly I'm just thankful. I am thankful for my family. I am thankful for friends both new and old. I am thankful for memories and time spent with my grand babies. I am thinking a lot about my sweet cousins today spending their first thanksgiving without my Aunt Deborah, I wish we could be together and share our Minnesota cold, our fun and a good hot dish with you. I'm thinking about the families with littles in the hospital and am praying that today not be a roller coaster of emotion but filled with memories of the time that is spent together. I'm thinking there are many entering this season with loss and I pray just like I have been ,that you be reminded daily of all that is, and be thankful that you had and all that was. I am thankful Brielle was with us and so wish we could snuggle with her. I am thankful for the grace that extends to me daily in a love so unmistakable from a Savior that really is the reason for it all. Happy Thanksgiving

Update From Doctors

Journal entry by Jordan Heyer — 1/22/2016 Upon speaking with doctors this morning Beca and I are delighted. "She's doing better than yesterday" was one of the first things Doctor Colby said this morning. She had a bacterial infection at birth that's been treated and cured ( E. coli). The endocrinologist came yesterday and did there tests on her pituitary glands to see if they are producing adequate amounts of the hormones her body needs to survive. The only one that is low are her cortisol levels but that may just be because of the prematurity. We won't really know until later on. But those words, "later on" keep coming out of the doctors mouth which is giving us so much hope. It's really very scary but we are so hopeful and putting so much faith in God to do the right things no matter what that may be, and to show the doctors the best way to help our baby. Thank you for the prayers we are so grateful, and please keep them coming. ...

Gearing Up for Fall

 Getting ready to venture into the weekend. Fridge is full, no plans except for Sunday and the last weekend before school. Seems weird. Our whole schedule will change. Eric will be in school everyday and Awana on Wednesdays. Sam has preschool 4 days a week and Awana on Wednesdays. Kayla is working every Wed and every other Tuesday and also has driver's ed 2 days a week for 5 weeks. Not to mention Morph groups start up (bible study) and the 'fun' night for the HS youth group. Jordan will be a L.I.T. on Wednesdays at Awana (leader in training) and has 'fun' night with middle school youth group on Thursdays and CORE on Sunday evenings (bible study). Me~ well every Wednesday when all four of my kiddos are at church I will grocery shop/run errands for 90 minutes. In fact if it doesn't get done on Wednesday it won't get done. The second weekend of the month is my weekend for nursery and every Tuesday I have a MOPS/Teen MOPS thing in the evening. On Thursday mornin...

101 List

Some friends of mine have a list of 101 random things so to go with the flow I've been convinced to post one for me. So here's mine. Lets see if I can come up this on my own or if I have to enlist help from my kiddos. It may be fun to hear their thoughts....then again maybe not! LOL 1. My husband will hate this list! 2. I have 4 children- Kayla, Jordan , Eric and Sam 3. We have one dog that would have to leave if she became high maintenance or annoying! 4. I lived in San Jose, Ca from July 1990 until Dec. 1992 5. I was born in Rochester, MN at St. Mary's Hospital Feb 1st, 1972 at 11:55pm. 6. I moved 19 times before my 18th birthday. 7. My family was.... well shall we say..... dysfunctional. 8. I can't spell and would be helpless without spell check. 9. My kids make fun of the fact I can't spell. 10. My first job was at Burger King. 11. I have always wanted to be a nurse. 12.
