Why I Give Thanks

Today I am thankful for an extra hour of sleep!! #thankful — feeling rested.

My Wondering Mind

I'm sitting here this morning drinking my coffee with some random thoughts. Thoughts that I really don't need to give brain space to. I've been sleeping awful this week. That never helps anything. In fact I'm not even sure if it's really safe to be blogging right now because you just never really know what may come out. Here's how it goes- I go to sleep- I have some bizarre dream- I wake- look at my phone for a missed call (yes at 2am) and then attempt to go back to sleep. Some nights I do this 4 or 5 times. The missed call you think? Who could possibly call in the middle of the night? Well these calls tend to be the tragic ones, ones with bad news, accidents etc.... Now granted this could happen. To ANYONE: What makes me entertain those thoughts... trust and truth - both of which I lack in when my mind is wondering. Our Lucky Charm

Journal entry by  Missy Eagen  —  3/17/2016 Words can't convey the JOY we felt when we arrived at the NICU today to see this girls uncovered CPAP FREE face! Oh she has the cutest little nose you ever did see. The nurse practitioner stopped in and said the next step is learning how to eat orally and then home! HOME - Sounds easier said than probably done but Brielle never ceases to amaze us and we are praying that she masters eating while remembering to breathe like the fighter she is.  She is 3lbs 12oz and wakes now for periods of time, she is enjoying her paci here and there and is quite a sweet girl to snuggle into a recliner with. Her due date is in 5 weeks and she is 8 weeks old.  As always thank you for your prayers!  Happy St Patrick's Day! 🍀 heart

101 List

Some friends of mine have a list of 101 random things so to go with the flow I've been convinced to post one for me. So here's mine. Lets see if I can come up this on my own or if I have to enlist help from my kiddos. It may be fun to hear their thoughts....then again maybe not! LOL 1. My husband will hate this list! 2. I have 4 children- Kayla, Jordan , Eric and Sam 3. We have one dog that would have to leave if she became high maintenance or annoying! 4. I lived in San Jose, Ca from July 1990 until Dec. 1992 5. I was born in Rochester, MN at St. Mary's Hospital Feb 1st, 1972 at 11:55pm. 6. I moved 19 times before my 18th birthday. 7. My family was.... well shall we say..... dysfunctional. 8. I can't spell and would be helpless without spell check. 9. My kids make fun of the fact I can't spell. 10. My first job was at Burger King. 11. I have always wanted to be a nurse. 12.
