Jordan

I was looking back through some of the entries I've made and not that I don't think about it but I became painfully aware that poor Jordan doesn't have much written about him. There are a few different factors that contribute to that.  The first being that that some days he doesn't exhibit a whole lot of "cute" behavior, he's a almost 13 year old boy that is really more concerned about making my hair gray these days.  Kayla gets space as she's the only girl. Eric and Sam are a constant form of entertainment or a constant challenge.  I was thinking about 10 years from now and wondering what I would remember about this age for Jordan. There are a lot of memories over the last year or so that have tested about every weakness and every strength we have. I guess I want Jordan to know is that my motives are driven by my love for him.  I feel as though I'm so tough on him but I feel so strongly that in today's world we're called to so many different battles.  I guess my point is I'm not always sure how to write about Jordan as his journey right now isn't always one that he would want me to share.

So on to the good news Smile  We are entering upon Jordan's favorite time of year. He is an outside kid and that is one of the many qualities that I love about him. On nice days or even not so nice days, computers, TVs and games are put on the shelf. He's outside from sun up to sun down and then some. We live right by a park and paths and trees, tons of trees. Jordan and the boys from the neighborhood love to hang out in their fort. Cops and robbers, hiding in the trees, chasing each other and forming teams as only young boys can do. They have more energy than I can imagine. Jordan also loves his skateboard. Any bets on if this will be the year of the first cast? He's getting braver and I'm just waiting for that first ER trip. He and one of the neighbor boys want to save $$ to purchase materials to build a half pipe. Not sure what that is but it sounds dangerous!
